The Emirates FA Cup third round proper will take place across the weekend of January 6 and 7 2024

The Emirates FA Cup third round proper draw was made on Sunday afternoon as clubs from the Premier League and EFL Championship joined this season’s competition.

The 32 third round proper ties will take place across the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 6 and 7 January.

There were several eye-catching ties drawn by former Everton star Trevor Steven and four-time Women’s FA Cup winner Jen Beattie.

Fans didn’t have to wait long for a huge clash to be picked out, with the third tie selected Arsenal versus Liverpool.

That was one of four all-Premier League ties but one of the standout contests will be when Championship side Sunderland host local rivals Newcastle United.

Those victorious in the third round proper will land £105,000 from the Emirates FA Cup prize fund.
